There is probably no exercise or fitness training that can get your body in top shape quicker and better than boxing training. Every muscle group is positively impacted with power, strength and resilience in as little as a week or two of serious training.Hitting or kicking the heavy bag will strengthen muscles in your arms, shoulders and legs. Keep in mind the bag won't hit back, but you might experiment with a double end bag to get the feel of reflex action which resembles a sparring partner.
