Personally, I don't think that a trainer is necessary for general body fitness or weight loss. The fitness problem has increased in recent years so in past years although people had unfit but they did not took it too serious and the situation was better than now. Don't take it too serious, God has made everything perfect so we just need to take care of our health. Eat healthy and pure foods and do regular physical exercise.
But I agree that a personal trainer may be required in some cases when problem has increased too much or you can't understand it.
